KT said on Sunday it has set up a pop-up for South Korea's national football team at KT Onmaru on the second floor of the West wing of KT's Gwanghwamun building in Jongno district, Seoul, jointly with the Korea Football Association, to mark the 2026 World Cup.
KT will showcase an artificial intelligence-based hands-on programme that visitors can take part in, along with exhibition content that looks back at the history of South Korean football.
It will offer the 'AX Robot Drawing' experience, in which a robot using AI features draws a caricature after visitors take a photo. It will also run the 'AX Photo Assist' programme, which uses the Galaxy S26's Photo Assist feature to generate and print a cheering-themed image after visitors take a selfie and enter a football-related prompt.
KT also prepared visitor-participation content. It will operate the 'Cheering Message Media Wall', where a message entered on entry to support players is implemented as an art wall on a large media screen. In the 'Red Devils Custom DIY' programme, visitors can attach patches to red clothes or scarves they bring to create cheering goods. It will also offer a keyring-making experience.
The exhibition space allows visitors to look at the footprints of South Korean football. It displays signed national team uniforms, official match balls and trophies. It also showcases photos capturing major moments in South Korean football from 2002 to 2022.
The KT Onmaru World Cup pop-up runs from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.
Kim Dong-hoon (김동훈), an executive director of KT's public relations office, said, "Ahead of the 2026 North and Central American World Cup, we created a space where customers can enjoy and relate together across generations." He added, "We will continue to expand customer touchpoints through differentiated AX-based experiential content."
