KB Kookmin Bank is running an event offering purchase subsidies for merchant terminals to small merchants and self-employed people.
KB Kookmin Bank said on Sunday it is holding an event with Naver Pay (Npay), KICC and EzyShop for small merchants and self-employed customers, offering terminal purchase subsidies and a settlement account switch promotion.
The event offers 50,000 won in cash as a terminal subsidy to businesses that newly buy merchant terminals such as POS or CAT, including Npay Connect, and switch their settlement accounts to KB Kookmin Bank.
The event runs through Nov. 30, but will end early if it reaches 2,500 merchant settlement accounts.
Not only new merchants but also businesses already using settlement accounts at other banks can participate. They can receive the benefit by buying a merchant terminal through the EzyPOS Mall channel and then switching their settlement accounts to KB Kookmin Bank under the designated procedures.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "This event was 마련 to reduce the cost burden on small merchants and build a more convenient payment environment." The official added, "We will continue to expand practical financial support to help stabilize operations for small merchants and self-employed people."
