South Korea's Kosdaq tumbled more than 5 percent in intraday trading on Thursday, breaking below the 1,000 level for the first time in three months.
As of 10:08 a.m., the Kosdaq was down 54.31 points, or 5.17 percent, from the previous session at 995.42. The index opened down 14.51 points, or 1.38 percent, at 1,035.22 and is extending its losses.
The Kosdaq last fell below 1,000 intraday on March 4, three months ago.
