AI security and authentication platform company RaonSecure said on June 4 it will supply a post-quantum cryptography (PQC) solution to KDB Life Insurance.

RaonSecure stressed that, in addition to KDB Life Insurance, it is currently nearing new quantum security contracts with more than 10 domestic banks, securities firms, card companies and insurers, and is also holding discussions on adoption by public institutions.

According to the company, RaonSecure's Key# Crypto is a software-based cryptographic modularisation solution that can apply PQC to defend against quantum computer attacks.

RaonSecure also provides a full security solution based on PQC, including authentication, section encryption, electronic signatures and input security.

RaonSecure has strengthened its capabilities to commercialise PQC by building a technical system that provides both Korean post-quantum cryptography (KpqC) and U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standard algorithms.

RaonSecure expects demand to expand for a transition to PQC across all areas of security, including authentication, electronic signatures, section encryption and identity and access management (IAM). It plans to target not only finance and the public sector, where regulatory requirements are high, but also telecommunications, platforms, commerce, healthcare and manufacturing, which handle large-scale user data.

Lee Jung-a (이정아), CEO of RaonSecure, said: "At a time when advances in quantum computing foreshadow a reorganisation across existing information security systems, proactive responses are needed regardless of industry boundaries." She added: "RaonSecure will steadily support customers' adoption of quantum security and establish itself as a trusted partner leading the domestic PQC market."
