Toss Bank has upgraded its service so users can handle, via the app, not only drafting employment contracts but also preparing documents needed at workplaces, including health certificates, resident registration records and copies of passbooks.

Toss Bank said on Wednesday it added a function to issue employment contract-related documents to its "Easy Employment Contract" service.

The update allows workers to issue key documents needed after drafting a contract through the Toss Bank app. Documents available are a health check result certificate, a resident registration record and a copy of a Toss Bank passbook.

Convenience has improved in issuing health check result certificates required for food hygiene-related businesses such as restaurants and cafes. Previously, users sometimes had to revisit a public health center to check results after testing, but they will now be able to check in the Toss Bank app, save as a PDF and deliver it to an employer.

Features for employers have also been strengthened. Toss Bank linked the Easy Employment Contract function to the mini-home for individual business owners used by customers with individual business accounts. Individual business owners can manage new hiring, contract signing and related document preparation in the Toss Bank app, along with checking cash flow.

Toss Bank first introduced the Easy Employment Contract service through its 2023 "Working Youth with Toss Bank" campaign. It has since expanded the service into freelance areas such as webtoon assistant writers and caregivers.

The addition of document issuance functions is meaningful in that it supports procedures needed after a contract is signed, rather than stopping at contract drafting. It reduces the burden of preparing documents for workers and provides an environment for employers to handle hiring and contract tasks more easily.

A Toss Bank official said, "We will continue efforts to identify practical difficulties people face at workplaces and solve them with financial technology."
