[DigitalToday reporter Lee Ji-young (이지영)] KB Kookmin Bank is providing food support to help stabilise meals for children in grandparent-led households.

KB Kookmin Bank said on Tuesday it has launched the 'KB Strong Kit' food support programme to support the healthy growth of children in grandparent-led households.

The programme aims to ease nutritional imbalance and reduce concerns about missed meals by providing balanced food for growing children.

Support targets 800 households raising grandchildren under 18 in seven non-capital regions: Gangwon, North Chungcheong, South Chungcheong, North Jeolla, South Jeolla, North Gyeongsang and South Gyeongsang.

The KB Strong Kit includes convenient meals made with healthy ingredients, supplements needed by children and grandparents, and essential in-home emergency kits. The kits will be delivered directly to each household.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We hope it will be a warm encouragement for children." The official added, "We will consistently practise tailored inclusive finance so that children and adolescents in blind spots of care can grow up healthy."
