Stamps and international postcards themed on N Seoul Tower, a landmark representing Seoul that tourists often visit, are being released.
The Seoul Metropolitan Postal Service will begin selling, from June 1, four types of custom stamps featuring seasonal scenery of N Seoul Tower and seven types of international postcards, in collaboration with CJ Foodville.
The custom stamp is a stamp that anyone can create with a desired design through the Online Post Office or at post office counters. Even if postal rates are adjusted in the future, the stamp can be used to send domestic letters weighing more than 5 grams and up to 25 grams without an additional charge. The international postcards being released at the same time also have a stamp imprint printed on them and can be sent anywhere in the world. The stamps and international postcards can be purchased from this day at the gift shop in the N Seoul Tower observatory.
Fresh Ah Shin (신선아), head of the Postal Sales Division at the Seoul Metropolitan Postal Service, said, "It is meaningful to be able to record N Seoul Tower, a landmark of Seoul, as a custom stamp." She added, "In the future, people will be able to spend a pleasant time at N Seoul Tower, put those feelings into a postcard and build precious memories."
