Shinhan Securities held a field experience programme on Korea’s capital markets for a training group from the Korea Studies Institute at George Washington University in the United States.

Shinhan Securities said on May 25 it ran the programme on May 22 for participants in the institute’s 2026 Summer Study Abroad Program.

The programme is a short course hosted by the Korea Studies Institute at George Washington University. It runs from May 17 to May 30. A total of 12 people are taking part, including students majoring in Korean studies in the United States, students with strong interest in Korean society and a supervising professor.

The group is visiting major institutions in Korea in the areas of politics, history, economy and culture. Shinhan Securities was the only institution in the financial industry included in the itinerary.

The group visited Shinhan Securities’ headquarters on May 22. On site, lectures and briefings covered the structure and characteristics of Korea’s capital markets, trends in digital finance innovation and the outlook for future growth industries such as K-content, semiconductors and artificial intelligence. The group also held a question-and-answer session with employees afterward.

Shinhan Securities said, "It is meaningful that the next generation of global talent visited Shinhan Securities," adding, "We will continue to enhance international understanding of Korea’s capital markets."
