Internet infrastructure services company KINX said on Tuesday it signed a strategic partnership with global Kubernetes solutions company Clastix.

The partnership began as technical cooperation to integrate Clastix's Kubernetes management solution Kamaji with OpenStack and to advance its features. It has expanded to a broad joint go-to-market strategy for entering the South Korean market, spanning sales and marketing and product development.

According to KNIX, Kamaji is a Kubernetes control-plane management solution optimised for multi-tenant environments and large-scale cluster operations. It has also recently been adopted as a standard technology for Nvidia's next-generation data centre infrastructure platform DOCA (Data Center Infrastructure-on-a-Chip Architecture).

KINX took part from Kamaji's initial CAPI integration design stage through architecture definition, major feature expansion, bug patches and overall operational stability improvements, based on its OpenStack and Kubernetes expertise built through operating its public cloud IXcloud.

KINX currently provides a multi-cloud Kubernetes management service using Kamaji in an OpenStack-based cloud environment.

KINX CTO Sung-gyu Lee said, "We are currently conducting analysis and performance tests on Clastix services and integration functions." He added, "We plan to advance Kamaji-based cluster management capabilities on IXcloud and continuously expand a technical framework that can be applied to various customer environments."
