KB Kookmin Bank has selected film director Jang Hang-jun (장항준) and drama writer Kim Eun-hee (김은희) as new advertising models.
KB Kookmin Bank said on May 11 the selection is aimed at strengthening empathy-based communication with customers and boosting brand familiarity.
Jang built public recognition after his February film "Wang-gwa Saneun Namja" drew a cumulative audience of 16 million. Kim led the success of domestic genre dramas through works including "Signal" and "Kingdom".
KB Kookmin Bank plans to use their friendly images to deliver its financial services in a simpler and more familiar way. It also aims to expand points of contact between customers' daily lives and finance.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "Director Jang Hang-jun and writer Kim Eun-hee are earning broad sympathy with their sincere 모습," adding, "We will continue to strengthen communication with customers in various ways."
