Gravity Game Tech (GGT), the Thailand unit of Gravity, has started pre-registration in Southeast Asia for its new mobile RPG "Ragnarok Endless Trail," it said on Monday.
Pre-registration has been under way since noon on Jan. 5 Thailand time on Google Play and Apple App Store in five markets: Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.
"Ragnarok Endless Trail" is a survival roguelike battle royale action RPG based on the Ragnarok universe. It features a vertical screen layout designed for short, fast play sessions.
The game combines roguelike PvE elements, in which dungeon layouts, enemies and rewards change at random, with a real-time battle royale PvP mode. Players enter dungeons with 2 NPC companions and fight battles, and can try again each time in a different environment even if their character is defeated. It also supports various content, including Endless Tower and Boss Rush, as well as customisation features.
To mark the opening of pre-registration, GGT has prepared various events. It will give in-game currency to all users if it reaches 10,000 followers on its official Facebook page and 5,000 Discord participants, and will also offer rewards based on the number of friends invited.
It has also prepared rewards tied to cumulative pre-registrations. It will give items such as a "Golden Poring Ticket," "Poring Bag" and an "S-grade mercenary High Wizard" each time it reaches 50,000, 100,000 and 150,000 sign-ups.
If it reaches 150,000 sign-ups, it will run a cross-promotion that offers special benefits, such as increased experience gains, to users of existing games including "Ragnarok Online" and "Ragnarok Classic" in Thailand, and "Ragnarok V: Returns" and "The Ragnarok" in Southeast Asia.
Lee Jae-jin, chief operating officer at Gravity Game Tech, said the mobile RPG was designed so players can enjoy creating their own play styles in a constantly changing battle environment by combining the Ragnarok universe with roguelike and battle royale elements. He said he expects strong participation from users in Southeast Asia, with various events and plentiful rewards prepared through pre-registration.
