Samsung Securities held a “2026 Consumer Protection Pledge Ceremony,” it said on Jan. 6.
The ceremony was held in an organised sequence: guidance on the revised Consumer Protection Charter and slogan, reading and signing the charter, an oath by representatives of department heads from manufacturing, sales and after-sales management, and signatures by executives.
The charter signed that day contained seven key pledges, including thinking and acting from the customer’s perspective, complying with laws and protecting personal data, providing accurate product explanations, banning discrimination against older people and people with disabilities and creating a convenient environment, operating a swift and fair damage-relief system, actively reflecting the voices of financial consumers, and providing various education programmes for financial consumers.
At the ceremony, Samsung Securities CEO Park Jong-moon urged employees to uphold the financial consumer protection charter and to place consumer protection at the centre of all work for sustainable growth.
