Samsung Electronics on Monday unveiled the Galaxy Book6 series featuring Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics.
The new laptops use Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors developed on Intel's 18A, an 1.8-nanometer-class process technology. They include an NPU capable of up to 50 TOPS, supporting AI-based tasks such as image editing, text conversion and AI search.
The graphics card uses Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 and 5060. It supports AI image generation, video playback and editing, and gaming. The laptops use a Dynamic AMOLED 2X touch display that supports up to 1,000 nits of HDR brightness. Vision Booster and anti-reflection technology allow the screen to be viewed outdoors or under strong lighting.
The Galaxy Book6 Ultra includes six speakers consisting of upward-firing tweeters and side and back-to-back woofers. The tweeter is a dedicated speaker unit for reproducing high-frequency sound. For the first time on the Pro model, Samsung applied a vapor chamber to the Galaxy Book6 Pro. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra uses a Dual Path Outlet Fan that vents heat in two directions, from the rear and the side.
The Galaxy Book6 Ultra and the 16-inch Pro support up to 30 hours of video playback. That is about 5 hours more than the previous generation. They include ultra-fast charging that can charge the battery up to 63 percent in 30 minutes.
The Galaxy Book6 Ultra is 15.4 mm thick, 1.1 mm thinner than the previous generation. The 16-inch Galaxy Book6 Pro is 11.9 mm thick, 0.6 mm thinner than the previous generation.
The Galaxy Book6 series consists of three models: Galaxy Book6, Galaxy Book6 Pro and Galaxy Book6 Ultra. In South Korea, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Book6 Pro and Galaxy Book6 Ultra models on Jan. 27. It will accept applications for pre-launch alerts on Samsung.com from Monday. The Galaxy Book6 is scheduled to be released in March.
Choi Won-jun, head of development at Samsung Electronics' MX division and chief operating officer, said, "True innovation starts with faithfully building the fundamentals, and through that, optimized performance shapes the user experience." He said, "The Galaxy Book6 series will provide optimal productivity and convenience for users by combining stable AI-based technology with outstanding speed and performance."
