KB Kookmin Bank is moving to expand financial services linked to operating systems for care and childcare institutions.

KB Kookmin Bank said on April 29 it signed an agreement with Kiwoong Information & Communication to expand financial services linked to digital platforms and to realise inclusive finance.

The agreement centres on embedding financial functions by linking the bank's corporate open APIs to EziCare, an ERP dedicated to home-based long-term care providers. The bank aims to enable cash management and financial tasks arising from care facility operations to be handled within the system.

EziCare is currently used by about 9,000 home-based long-term care providers nationwide. KB Kookmin Bank expects the linkage with the platform to raise operational efficiency at care facilities and improve financial access for workers.

The two sides plan to pursue cooperation focused on building a joint sales process, strengthening financial and cash management functions within the ERP, and expanding data-based financial services.

KB Kookmin Bank has operated Apartment Bank, a cash management service for apartment complexes, through existing cooperation with Kiwoong Information & Communication. It plans to expand the linkage to ERP platforms for childcare institutions, widening the scope of financial services for workers in care services.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said the bank will support care facility workers so they can use financial services more conveniently. The official said the bank will continue to expand inclusive finance through innovative digital financial services.
