Security firm Initech said on April 28 it will introduce an ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) platform targeting the “zero trust” security market.
Initech said it expects ICAM to be an alternative for companies responding to changes in the security market as the National Intelligence Service’s “National Network Security Framework (N2SF)” is fully implemented in May.
According to the company, Initech’s ICAM platform combines multi-factor authentication and single sign-on to help users maintain a consistent authentication system and stronger security regardless of when and where they connect. Even after initial authentication, it evaluates user behavior, device status and access location in real time. If abnormal signs are detected, it can adjust or revoke permissions.
It can be applied to both cloud infrastructure and on-premise systems, and can also be linked with micro-segmentation solutions that apply security controls by subdividing systems.
Initech said it plans to expand next-generation security business opportunities centered on the ICAM platform, as it expects the implementation of N2SF to accelerate shifts in security architecture in the public and financial sectors.
Yoo Byung-jae (유병재), a director at Initech, said, “Initech’s ICAM platform is a core foundation of zero trust that continuously verifies the behavior and status of all access entities beyond simple authentication.” He added, “As the full implementation of N2SF is expected to mark the start of a full-scale shift in security architecture in the public and financial sectors, we will work to ensure that Initech’s ICAM platform can secure competitiveness in the next-generation security market.”
