Coupang Eats Service (CES) said on April 28 it will run a motorcycle maintenance partnership programme linked to 159 repair centres nationwide to strengthen safe driving for delivery partners.
More than 140 partner repair centres nationwide will provide delivery partners with rest areas during business hours and offer sofas, tables and drinks. The aim is to help them take breaks safely while operating in extreme heat and cold.
The partner repair centres operate nationwide, including across the Seoul metropolitan area such as Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon, as well as Chungcheong regions (Daejeon, South Chungcheong and North Chungcheong), Honam regions (Gwangju, North Jeolla, South Jeolla and Jeonju), Yeongnam regions (Busan, Daegu, Ulsan, North Gyeongsang and South Gyeongsang), Gangwon and Jeju.
All delivery partners will receive a year-round 10 percent maintenance discount on 10 key consumables, including engine oil, transmission oil, brake pads and engine air cleaner filters. The programme will also run free on-site safety inspections twice a year in the first and second halves.
Delivery partners who meet delivery activity criteria will also receive an additional 30 to 40 percent discount on items with high seasonal replacement demand, including tyres, windscreens, fog lights and dashcams. They will also receive a free engine oil change when replacing or installing those items.
Seasonal discount coupons are used by visiting a partner repair centre with a dedicated QR code issued through an application procedure. Delivery partners can check partner repair centre locations through the Coupang Eats delivery partner application, and use maintenance services after making a reservation in advance.
A CES official said, "This programme was designed with both delivery partner safe driving and meaningful relief of cost burdens in mind," adding, "We plan to continue expanding safety support that can be felt immediately in the field."
