Genians, a cybersecurity company, said on April 28 it ranked first in market share in the public EDR procurement market for the seventh straight year.
The company said it posted a 46 percent share in 2025 based on the Public Procurement Service’s Nara Market. The Genians EDR solution is deployed on more than 750,000 devices in demanding environments including central government ministries, local governments, the financial sector and large manufacturers.
Genians said the role of EDR is growing as the emergence of the Anthropic AI model Mythos heightens the need to respond to intelligent AI attacks. It said EDR monitors endpoint anomalies in real time and detects suspicious files.
Genians said, "EDR can identify and respond from the stage of hacking attempts, and even after a hacking incident it supports checking all activities. Through organic integration of a machine-learning engine and an AI-based CTI service, it is possible to detect and respond even to unknown malware."
Chief Executive Dong-beom Lee (이동범) said, “In an era when Mythos and AI autonomously design attack scenarios, we must recheck defence systems on the premise that this is a reality that can strike at any time.” He said, “Genians will provide the most advanced endpoint security platform by combining AI-based automated response systems with EDR technological capabilities to identify intelligent attacks in real time and block them immediately.”
