Generative AI solutions company Xenon said on Feb. 25 it has established its first overseas subsidiary in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Xenon held an opening ceremony in Jakarta a day earlier and formally announced its entry into the Indonesian market. Kim Tae-ryong (김태룡), the company's overseas business development lead, was appointed as the first head of the subsidiary.
Xenon said it has built its overseas business capabilities by carrying out proof-of-concept projects since 2023 for vision AI-based quality inspection automation solutions at shoe manufacturing plants of a global fashion brand. It added that it has posted full-fledged sales results since last year, securing both technological competitiveness and profitability.
With the subsidiary as a starting point, Xenon plans to step up supply of its vision AI-based quality management solutions and diversify its business with work automation solutions using generative AI. It aims to expand sequentially to major Southeast Asian countries including Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia.
Xenon CEO Seok-tae Ko (고석태) said, "Through thorough preparation over three years, we have built a foundation to settle stably into the Indonesian market." He said, "We will make a leap to become a key partner leading AI transformation (AX) in Southeast Asia's manufacturing and public sectors."
