Nexon said on Sunday it has started a preseason for N Connect, a connectivity project aimed at linking users, creators and games over the long term beyond one-off collaborations.
N Connect was designed in cooperation with live streaming platform SOOP to help creators and users build broadcasting experiences centered on Nexon games. The key is to build a long-term connectivity structure that continues naturally beyond simple exposure-based marketing.
Creators participating in N Connect will operate as “N Connectors” and freely stream Nexon games. Nexon plans to support creators’ long-term seasonal activity through a reward structure built on three pillars: activity, growth and impact.
Users will also receive participation benefits. They can join N Connect by linking their SOOP account and Nexon game account on a separately provided account-linking page. They will receive various in-game benefits and programmes in stages while watching streams from their preferred creators.
The preseason opened first on SOOP on Sunday and will run for about 5 months through September. Nexon plans to upgrade its operating structure during that period based on participation, responses and feedback from creators and users, and then transition to a regular season. It also plans to expand the service to streaming platform CHZZK in May.
Chae Jung-won (채정원), head of the Media Connected Division, said: “N Connect is a project that creates a bigger experience the more users, creators and Nexon participate together.” He added: “Through a new connectivity structure, we will create diverse broadcasting experiences and the fun of games.”
