LG CNS said on April 27 it is moving to target the education AX market by expanding cooperation with OpenAI to become a reseller partner for ChatGPT Edu, following its ChatGPT Enterprise reseller partner agreement.

ChatGPT Edu is a ChatGPT service dedicated to educational institutions. It supports a range of on-campus tasks such as creating lecture materials, organizing research materials and reports, and providing customized tutoring.

The company stressed that it provides the same security environment as the enterprise service, ChatGPT Enterprise. It said students, professors and researchers can use it at a reasonable price without concerns about sensitive information leaks.

LG CNS will support educational institutions so they can effectively adopt and use ChatGPT Edu. It plans to sequentially run a tour program introducing ChatGPT Edu for major universities in the Seoul metropolitan area, and also operate AI education seminars. It is also reviewing the production of an AI education curriculum based on ChatGPT Edu and the operation of hackathons in cooperation with universities and OpenAI.

LG CNS' OpenAI Launch Center, dedicated to the ChatGPT business, provides a full-stack service covering consulting and professional technical support needed to introduce ChatGPT Edu. The OpenAI Launch Center consists mainly of LG CNS AI specialist engineers, AI architects and AI consultants, and OpenAI specialist engineers also cooperate.

Kim Tae-hoon (김태훈), vice president and head of LG CNS' AI Cloud Business Division, said, "As we rapidly expanded customer application cases and built results through the ChatGPT Enterprise business, we have now signed this ChatGPT Edu reseller agreement, expanding the business into the education AX field." He added, "We will support more students and educational institutions so they can use AI to increase productivity in learning and research."
