NHN Cloud said on April 27 it is pushing ahead with a merger between its subsidiary NHN Injae I&C and cloud platform specialist Innogrid.
The merger will be carried out through Innogrid absorbing NHN Injae I&C. The merger ratio is about 1 Innogrid share to 31 NHN Injae I&C shares. The merger date is July 6, and Innogrid, the surviving company, will continue to be led by CEO Kim Myung-jin (김명진).
The companies said they expect the merger to help Innogrid secure competitiveness in private cloud by combining technology, operations and management capabilities, and to step up its push into the enterprise market.
NHN Cloud plans to combine Innogrid's cloud platform technology with its own infrastructure operations capabilities. It aims to meet high security requirements in the public and financial sectors while building an integrated service system that covers the full process from service deployment to operations.
An NHN Cloud official said, "Through this business restructuring, we will strengthen the foundation of our cloud business across the public and private sectors and build a stable growth system."
