JobKorea and Albamon, operated by WorkSpear, said on April 24 that an April Fool’s Day novelty job posting event held with Dongdaemun Yeopgi Tteokbokki, also known as YeopTteok, ended after drawing more than 65,000 applicants.

Through the collaboration, JobKorea and Albamon introduced a large-scale virtual job posting promotion to recruit “YeopTteok tasting interns” and “YeopTteok tasting Albamon” workers. They promoted the concept of “hiring 2,000 people” during the peak recruitment season to convey the brands’ scale in an intuitive way, and the company said the campaign was a hit, setting a record for the most applicants among its novelty job posting events.

Converted into a competition ratio, it was about 33 to 1.

Kim Yeo-reum (김여름), head of the Beyond Branding Team at JobKorea and Albamon, said, “This YeopTteok collaboration goes beyond a simple promotion and is an attempt to break down the boundary between work and daily life and expand the job-seeking experience.” She added, “We will continue to provide users with different experiences and positive brand value through various collaborations related to work, and establish ourselves as a platform that comes to mind first in every moment of a career.”
