Neptune said on Thursday it has completed the establishment of its local subsidiary, Krafton Ad Platform India, in New Delhi.
The company said the new unit is part of efforts to globalise its adtech platform business, one of Neptune's three strategic new ventures.
Neptune CEO Kang Yul-bin (강율빈) will serve as chief executive of the India unit and lead the business. Kim Jong-hyuk (김종혁), a vice president at Krafton's India unit responsible for strategy and esports, was appointed as a resident registered director. Neptune plans to work with Krafton to expand its influence in the Indian market.
Neptune plans to use Krafton traffic and data. It also plans to maximise synergy with its hybrid casual game publishing business. Neptune will use media data and publishing business data to internalise its adtech platform.
Kang said marketing costs are rising in the application and game markets. He said the competitiveness of companies that internalise adtech platforms will stand out. He added Neptune will start with India to build an integrated adtech platform and enhance corporate value.
