Tencent has launched a global version of QClaw, an OpenClaw-based AI agent, The Information reported on Monday.

QClaw drew strong interest in China last month. It features one-click installation and integration with the WeChat messaging app.

The global version can connect to messaging apps users prefer, including WhatsApp and Telegram. It offers a feature that lets users build their own agents to handle tasks such as travel planning, ticket purchases, tax filings, designing daily health and fitness routines and sending reminders.

The global launch of QClaw will be a test of how long global users' interest in OpenClaw products will last, The Information reported.

OpenClaw sparked a frenzy in January, but the early buzz has cooled as security and usability issues have been raised in succession.

In China, OpenClaw interest is hotter. Chinese technology companies, including Tencent, are rushing to roll out OpenClaw-based services, driving faster adoption than in the United States, The Information reported.
