The Korea Game Industry Association said on Tuesday that game-related organisations and companies from the Chungcheong region gathered at the Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency to discuss cooperation measures for the game industry's mutual growth.
The meeting was arranged to share views from the industrial field and draw up cooperative tasks.
Those attending included association chairman Cho Young-ki (조영기), agency head Lee Eun-hak (이은학) and Ahn Seung-hyun (안승현), head of the cultural industry division at the Cheongju Cultural Industry Promotion Foundation. Also present were Doo Maru CEO Na Hyun-gyu (나현규), Dimong CEO Lee Ji-baek (이지백), Longplay Studio CEO Shin In-geon (신인건), Minimum Studio CEO Kim Hyun-a (김현아), Signature Games director Jung Won-young (정원영), MP Games CEO Jeon Seong-sik (전성식), and 1HP Studio regional PM Choi Woo-yeol (최우열), along with officials from regional game companies.
Participants discussed key tasks including fostering competitive game talent, expanding tailored production support by growth stage, commercialization and building investment-linked systems.
Cho said, "Games are a future core industry capable of unlimited expansion beyond regional limits," and added, "We will continue to strengthen regional cooperation for the game industry's mutual growth."
