Coway is expanding its Icon and Birex lineups after posting a series of results in brand surveys.
Coway said on Tuesday it ranked first for the 28th consecutive year in the water purifier category of the 2026 Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI) hosted by Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC). It has taken the top spot every year since the survey began in 1999. Coway is the only company to rank first for 28 consecutive years in an appliance category. It also achieved No. 1 rankings for 24 straight years in air purifiers and bidets, respectively.
In BrandStock's "Top 100 Brands in South Korea" for the first quarter of 2026, it rose three places from a year earlier to 31st. The scheme selects the top 100 brands out of more than 1,000 brands across about 230 industries in South Korea, based on the patented BrandStock Top Index model. In the "2026 Korea BrandStar" survey, it ranked first for the 21st straight year in water purifiers and for the 22nd straight year in air purifiers and bidets.
Full ice water purifier lineup built; sleep tech manages the entire sleep process
Coway cited continued lineup expansion as a key factor behind the results. It built a full lineup of ice water purifiers by introducing the ultra-compact Icon Ice Water Purifier Mini and the large-capacity Icon Ice Water Purifier Max. The Icon Pro Water Purifier applies a front full-screen touch LCD display and a recipe mode that automatically sets the optimal temperature, volume and preparation method according to the intended use, providing a customised drinking experience.
It is advancing sleep-tech technology through its sleep-care brand Birex. At the 2026 Seoul Living Design Fair, it recently unveiled three new sleep-tech products, including the Massage Mattress M Series, the Stretching Motion Bed R Series and the Sleep Sensor Mattress S Series. It applied technology that manages condition across the entire process, from preparation before sleep to during sleep and after waking, to create a customised sleep environment.
