NHN Cloud and NC AI said on Tuesday they signed a strategic memorandum of understanding to pursue joint business based on AI solutions and cloud infrastructure. The signing ceremony was held a day earlier at NHN Cloud’s Play Museum headquarters with key officials including NHN Cloud CEO Kim Dong-hoon (김동훈) and NC AI CEO Lee Yeon-soo (이연수) in attendance.
Under the agreement, the companies will build a broad cooperation framework covering AI infrastructure operations and technology advancement, joint sales and market expansion, and cooperation on government-funded projects and the public sector. They plan to supply AI infrastructure optimised for the public and financial sectors, which require security and stability, and to strengthen business competitiveness.
NHN Cloud will provide a high-performance computing environment based on its capabilities in operating large-scale GPU infrastructure, so that NC AI’s physical AI and world model technologies can take root in industrial sites. A world model is a technology that simulates the physical laws of the real world and serves as a core foundation for implementing physical AI.
The companies also plan to pursue a joint strategy to win government-funded projects. They will jointly design a cloud environment that complies with public security guidelines and plan to move to foster an ecosystem for self-reliance in homegrown technologies.
Lee said, "Based on the strong synergy between the two companies, we will drive successful AI transformation (AX) for public and private companies."
Kim said, "The foundation of AI competitiveness lies in stable and advanced infrastructure." He added, "By providing customised services by industry, we will build an AI transformation environment that can be adopted with confidence."
