KT Cloud said on April 21 it is launching a public cloud product for its end-to-end AI platform, AI Foundry, and stepping up efforts to target the public AX market.
KT Cloud said its flagship AI Foundry products, RAG Suite and VectorDB, won mid-tier certification under the Cloud Security Assurance Program, laying the groundwork for customers to use AI in cloud environments.
KT Cloud plans to register RAG Suite and VectorDB this month under the National Information Society Agency's digital services specialized contracting system. It aims to simplify contracting procedures for public institutions and shorten the time needed to adopt AI services.
The company said public institutions and local governments can use RAG Suite to convert internal unstructured data such as PDF and Word documents (DOCX) into formats suitable for AI training. Users can also use Korean-language-focused large language models such as KT's in-house model, Mi:dm 2.0, and Upstage's Solar Pro2 and Solar Mini. It said users can build an RAG pipeline simply by calling an API, without additional complex configuration.
KT Cloud is also upgrading product functions alongside obtaining CSAP certification. On April 23, it will launch RAG Suite 2.0 with enhanced security and accuracy.
The company plans to go beyond providing products and also support AI strategy and architecture consulting tailored to customer environments, based on its professional AX consulting organization.
Kim Bong-gyun (김봉균), CEO of KT Cloud, said the launch of the AI Foundry public zone and CSAP certification would be an important turning point, allowing public institutions to apply generative AI to practical work without security concerns. He added the company will continue to advance its AI platform optimized for public-sector work environments to lead domestic AX innovation.
