Worksphear foreign job service KLiK launches AI Korean proficiency assessment

Worksphear's foreign job search service KLiK has launched an "AI Korean proficiency assessment" service, it said on Monday.

The AI Korean proficiency assessment analyses pronunciation, intonation and fluency from a 30-second voice recording and delivers the results. The assessment is shared in real time through a five-level rating and detailed scores, and includes an AI analysis-based feedback report. The results can be added immediately to each job seeker's KLiK profile, and a verification badge is awarded for use when applying to job postings on KLiK.

Job seekers can use the AI Korean proficiency assessment from the top-right menu of the KLiK app or from their profile page. The 30-second recording presents self-introduction items such as "Why do you want to work in Korea?" and provides separate guide sentences for beginners. After recording, users can review their voice and retry as many times as they want. Individual members can use it for free up to 13 times per month.

KLiK plans to further develop the AI-based Korean proficiency assessment and add learning-linked features that can help improve foreign job seekers' weak pronunciation and intonation. It also plans to upgrade its own AI algorithm and introduce a "smart matching" system that recommends job postings suitable for a job seeker's language level.

Hye-ryeong Jung (정혜령), KLiK business lead at Worksphear, said proving Korean language ability had been a repeatedly raised issue for foreign job seekers during the employment process, and that the new feature was meaningful in that it presented a new standard for hiring. She said the company would continue to advance AI-based services that can invigorate employment for global talent living in South Korea.
