SK Telecom said on April 21 it will take part in the 2026 World IT Show (WIS), to be held at COEX in Seoul for three days from April 22, and present a blueprint for the future of artificial intelligence in South Korea.

Under the theme “Everything about AI,” SKT will set up a large exhibition hall of about 866 square metres and showcase a full-stack AI line-up spanning AI infrastructure, models and services. The hall will comprise five key zones: network AI, AI data centre (DC) solutions, AI models, agent AI and physical AI. It will also run a separate hands-on area for visitors.

In the network AI zone, it will introduce next-generation network technologies such as AI base stations and AI agents for networks. In the AI DC solutions zone, it will present SKT’s AI DC competitiveness and its vision for a next-generation DC platform. In the AI models zone, it will introduce its large language model (LLM) A.X and A.X K1, which it described as the country’s first with 500 billion parameters to enter phase two of its proprietary AI foundation model project.

In the agent AI zone, visitors can experience how AI is applied across daily life, including phone calls, work and cars. In the physical AI zone, it will explain the evolution from “thinking AI” to “acting AI” through demonstrations of technology in which AI learns in a virtual environment and then operates in the real world, using a digital twin platform and a robot training platform.

SKT will also operate “Vision Cinema” and “Full-Stack Yard,” separate hands-on spaces within the exhibition hall. Visitors can experience SKT’s vision of a future AI world through videos on a large screen and understand full-stack AI through various events.

Kwon Young-sang (권영상), head of SKT’s Comm Support Office, said visitors will be able to directly experience the full-stack AI capabilities held by SKT, which he described as South Korea’s representative AI company, through the event. He said he hopes it will be a meaningful occasion for everyone visiting the exhibition to experience AI that moves reality beyond thoughts.
