Piolink said on Sunday it will strengthen cooperation with AI platform company Bigs Technology to develop next-generation security solutions.
Piolink said it made a strategic investment in Bigs Technology late last year after rating its technology highly. It is accelerating efforts to enhance intelligent security capabilities based on that investment.
Bigs Technology is an agentic AI-focused startup founded in 2023. It is focusing on developing AI that goes beyond simple conversational chatbots, with AI that understands goals on its own and completes complex tasks.
Bigs Technology’s main product, AgentWorks, is an enterprise-wide corporate AI workspace that blocks at the source the threat of Shadow AI, in which companies’ critical information leaks due to indiscriminate use of external AI.
Through the cooperation, the two companies will push to develop a next-generation autonomous security threat management platform: AI agent-based Continuous Threat Exposure Management, or CTEM.
Conventional security systems detect threats and respond based on human judgment. The companies stressed that AI agent-based CTEM aims for fully autonomous security threat management, in which AI identifies threats on its own, understands attack context, and completes everything from drawing up a defense plan to automated measures.
Piolink plans to actively incorporate Bigs Technology’s agentic AI technology into its security products and services.
Young-chul Cho (조영철), Piolink’s chief executive, said fragmentary defenses have limits amid increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. He said securing cyber resilience, in which systems endure on their own and recover quickly, is essential. Cho said the company will combine the latest AI technology to reduce reliance on manpower and make a leap to become a leading global security AI company.
