KB Financial Group said on April 20 it will raise hiring diversity and pursue inclusive finance by expanding employment of people with disabilities to mark Disability Day.

Key affiliate KB Kookmin Bank has continued hiring more than 30 new employees each year since signing an agreement with the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities in 2022, and it plans to expand entry-level hiring this year as well. It will newly introduce a regular corporate experience programme and internship hiring to support the competitiveness of young talent with disabilities. The bank plans to provide hands-on experience and support mid- to long-term career planning.

KB Insurance plans to expand hiring this year by newly identifying 11 disability-specific roles and pursuing a job-tailored placement strategy in operating units. It plans to broaden the scope beyond simple clerical support to value-added roles such as support for planning and strategy-setting for social contribution projects, to raise job satisfaction and build an advanced employment model.

KB Securities is expanding employment of people with disabilities not only through in-house hiring but also by operating Seomseomoksu in cooperation with the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities. It is a public-interest store where people with disabilities who complete the agency's training course provide free nail-care services to railway users, with 12 locations operating nationwide. Of those, KB Securities directly operates three locations, adding the Dongtan Station store in April 2026 after the Yeongdeungpo Station store in 2022 and the Osong Station store in 2023.

KB Financial is also expanding indirect employment through equity investment in Bravo Beaver, a standard workplace for people with developmental disabilities, in addition to direct hiring. With its bank, securities and capital units participating, it achieved 48 indirect hires as of end-2025. It plans to expand participation this year to include KB Asset Management and strengthen the creation of region-based jobs for people with disabilities.

A KB Financial Group official said, "Rather than simply increasing the number of hires, the key is to establish a culture in which talented people with disabilities demonstrate expertise and are recognised as main players in the organisation." The official added, "We will build an inclusive workplace where disability is not a constraint on work and continue to create a model with sincerity."
