[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Anthropic has launched Claude Design as a research preview, allowing users with no design background to create visual materials such as prototypes and slides, TechCrunch reported on Thursday.

If a user describes what they want, Claude creates an initial version. The user can then edit it directly or refine the output through additional requests. For example, a user can enter: "Create a prototype for a calm mobile meditation app. It should have stable typography, nature-inspired colors and a clean layout." After a draft is produced, the user can change colors or font sizes, or request the addition of a dark mode toggle.

Anthropic stressed that Claude Design does not compete with popular design apps such as Canva, but complements them. It described it as a tool for people who need to quickly turn ideas into visual materials.

With Claude Design, users can create presentation decks or prototypes and export them as PDF, URL or PPTX files, or send them directly to Canva. The results sent to Canva can be edited.

Claude Design also offers a feature that analyses a company's codebase and design files to automatically learn company-specific design rules such as logos, colors and fonts, and reflect them in all outputs. It is also possible to manage design rules for multiple brands or product lines at the same time.

Claude Design is based on Claude Opus 4.7 and is offered as a research preview to subscribers to Claude Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans.
