Ku Hyuk-chae (구혁채), first vice minister at the Ministry of Science and ICT, attended the Chungcheong regional event of the 30th Korea Science Festival held at the Daejeon Expo Science Park on April 17, and checked Daejeon's science culture.
The opening ceremony of the Chungcheong 2026 Korea Science Festival, held jointly with the Daejeon Science Festival, drew about 300 people including the central and local governments, the National Assembly, industry, academia and research officials, and members of the public. The theme was "Imagination Opened with AI, PROMPT ON."
In welcoming remarks at the opening ceremony, Ku stressed plans to expand support for regional science culture from this year so that the achievements of science and technology are returned to citizens. He also stressed that the government would make every effort to provide financial and institutional support so that all people can enjoy the fun and appeal of science.
