Line Games saw revenue fall last year due to a gap in new releases and a natural decline in its existing live titles, but it narrowed its operating loss for a second straight year on aggressive management efficiency measures and cost controls. Its top line shrank, but it was assessed to have achieved some results in refining its profit structure.

An audit report submitted by Line Games showed consolidated revenue of 33.5 billion won as of the end of 2025, down about 10 billion won from 43.5 billion won a year earlier. Operating loss was 14.9 billion won, narrowing from 16.1 billion won over the same period.

The company said it achieved its intended results in cutting losses for a second straight year as it kept costs under control while maintaining its ongoing push for management efficiency and structural improvement.

It attributed the revenue decline to a natural drop as existing live titles moved into a service stabilisation phase, and to having no new releases last year, which also weighed on results. Cost cuts helped defend profit and loss, but it could not avoid a contraction in scale due to the absence of new titles.

Line Games said it will make this year the first year of a renewed leap forward. The focus is expanding its core games business and targeting global markets. The company plans to release 3 to 4 new PC titles, including "Ember and Blade", cited as a highly anticipated global title, and will expand the share of PC titles to step up its overseas push.

It is also moving ahead with expanding overseas services for its existing flagship titles. "The War of Genesis Mobile" will soon roll out global service including North America and Europe, and "Uncharted Waters Origin" will start service in China on April 28. In particular, "Uncharted Waters Origin" has reached 5 million pre-registrations, indicating strong local expectations.

A Line Games official said, "Starting this year, we will fully expand our core games business to seek improved profitability."
