KB Kookmin Bank said on Wednesday it will run a dedicated organisation and expand deployment of on-site marketing specialists to strengthen productive finance centred on sales sites.

The bank has set up and is operating an "SME On-site Support Team" from this month. The organisation provides financial consulting for companies together with branch corporate finance staff. It will cooperate in areas including company analysis, sharing marketing know-how and support for corporate loan credit reviews.

The bank will also expand corporate marketing specialists and export-import marketing specialists who visit companies in person to provide financial solutions. They will be mainly made up of retired employees, and the bank plans to hire additional staff with corporate finance expertise in the first half of the year.

The bank plans to place newly hired staff in provincial regions first to strengthen tailored financial support for small and medium-sized companies and also contribute to balanced regional development. Export-import marketing specialists will provide financial support and guidance on systems for companies struggling due to Middle East risks.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will ensure specialists with on-the-ground experience can directly support companies and provide practical help." The official added, "We will expand productive finance by strengthening cooperation with branches."
