NC said on Wednesday that its subsidiary NC Service won a Prime Minister’s Commendation at the 2026 Disability Employment Promotion Event.
NC Service received the award at the event held on Tuesday in the category of expanding employment for people with disabilities and creating a work environment. The Disability Employment Promotion Event is hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and organised by the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities. It recognises exemplary employers, individuals with distinguished service and employees with disabilities.
NC Service is NC’s standard workplace for people with disabilities, with 80 employees with disabilities working there as of March. Of them, 83 percent have severe disabilities.
It currently runs 12 job roles, including customer counselling, cafe baristas, bookshelf organisation and management of reusable cups. Specialist staff, including sign-language interpreters, social workers and vocational counsellors for people with disabilities, support employees’ adjustment to work and continued employment. NC Service won the Ministry of Employment and Labor Minister’s Award for “Comfortable Workplace of the Year” in 2020.
Cho Jung-ho (조정호), head of NC Service, said, "We have carried out development of diverse job roles and improvements to the work environment." He said, "We will expand employment for people with disabilities and create workplaces where employees can work."
