Naver Pay said on 16 it signed a partnership with Paris Baguette to introduce its integrated offline terminal, "Npay Connect".

Npay Connect is an integrated terminal that supports various payment methods including cash, cards, simple payments, NFC and facial recognition payment "Facesign". Users can write Naver reviews and earn points directly on the terminal after making a payment without additional steps, while merchants can secure reviews immediately after payment.

The companies plan to roll out the terminal sequentially starting with Paris Baguette company-run stores in the second half of the year.

To mark the partnership, they will also run a promotion offering a 50 percent discount on purchase amounts for Npay QR payments at Paris Baguette stores nationwide for 17 April only. The discount is capped at 10,000 won.

Lee Hyang-cheol (이향철), pay service lead at Naver Pay, said, "Starting with Paris Baguette, we will expand partnerships to franchise and small business stores to strengthen the offline payment ecosystem."
