The Korea Cable TV Broadcasting Association (KCTA) held the 2026 Cable TV Broadcast Awards on April 15 at Hotel Naru MGallery in Seoul and presented awards to a total of 52 people.

Marking its 20th year, the Cable TV Broadcast Awards is the country’s only integrated awards ceremony for the paid TV industry, spanning system operators (SO) and programme providers (PP).

Top prizes by PP genre went to eight works, including the drama "Tyrant's Chef" (tvN), the variety show "Jeon Hyun-moo Plan Season 2" (Channel S·MBN) and the documentary "Legacy of Liberation, Fragments of 80 Years" (KTV Korea Policy Broadcasting Institute). For the SO work awards, 9 regional channel works were selected across 3 categories, including news, regular programming and specials.

The Cable TV Star Award K-Culture grand prize went to artistic director Seung-hwan Song (송승환). The K-Culture Icon Award went to actors Hye-jin Shim (심혜진) and Eun-jung Shin (신은정). The K-Culture Star Award went to singer Su-yeon Lee (이수연), idol group AHOF (아홉) and broadcaster Seung-je Jeong (정승제).

Hee-man Hwang (황희만), chairman of KCTA, said, "Cable TV is now standing in the middle of structural difficulties." He said, "Today’s winning works are valuable results that preserved their quality to the end despite difficult conditions."
