Woori Bank said on April 15 it launched a “youth MyData” service on its Woori WON Banking app that allows teenagers to directly view and manage financial assets.

The service is designed for teenagers aged 14 and older. After identity verification, they can select the financial information they need and view and manage it. The key is to improve financial accessibility and help them manage their own financial lives.

Users can check deposits, card spending history and points from major pay services on a single screen. The service also applies a UI and UX designed for teenagers. It provides an allowance and savings checkup, a spending calendar, usage history by payment method and spending category analysis to help users understand their spending and saving status at a glance.

Woori Bank added the service to its existing youth-only Woori Teen Teen offering to expand its lineup of financial services for teenagers. It plans to strengthen links so that, when users transition to adulthood, they can move smoothly to its “Woori MyData” service.

A Woori Bank official said the bank prepared the service so that teenagers can review their own financial lives and develop sound economic habits. The official said it will continue to enhance the service so that financial experience in adolescence can lead to asset management in adulthood.
