Naver said on April 14 it will link MYPlace local reviews with Clip and revamp the structure of the Clip tab.
Naver will link MyPlace and Clip profiles to build a foundation for place reviewers to manage content. If users connect their MyPlace accounts, they can link previously recorded place reviews to their Clip profiles.
With a single link, users can connect place reviews in formats including MyPlace Clip reviews, text, photos and videos. Naver plans to expand content touchpoints through its services including the home feed, integrated search and topic boards.
Naver will reorganise the Clip tab into three sections: Recommended, Subscriptions and My Clips. The Recommended tab is designed to help users identify trends through artificial intelligence-based keyword tags. It will provide personalised recommendations by analysing users' interests and activity.
The Subscriptions tab will allow users to view creators' content in one place. The My Clips tab will allow users to manage and create the Clips they have produced.
Kim A-young (김아영), Clip leader at Naver, said, "As place-themed content becomes more active, we carried out the revamp so users can record their visiting experiences and discover new places." She said, "We plan to provide support so place reviewers can grow into Clip creators and so creators can participate in the ecosystem."
