KT said on Saturday it has launched an online-only "Yogo discount plan" that integrates contract-term discounts and online subscription discounts previously applied to its internet products.

The plan will be offered on a limited basis for 6 months through the end of September. Customers can receive the most advantageous discount by choosing only the contract period, without separate eligibility checks or complex calculations. Unlike the existing Online Direct 1-year contract product, which limited sign-ups to those aged 39 and under, the new plan is open to all ages. Another feature is that discounts remain in place after the contract ends, without requiring a separate reapplication.

KT will provide an additional discount when customers newly subscribe to both internet and mobile service and bundle them. Based on a 3-year contract without IPTV, 1G (Gbps) internet receives an additional monthly discount of 3,200 won, for an expected total savings of 115,200 won in telecom costs over 3 years.

KT also expanded contract options for long-term customers. Customers can choose contracts of up to 5 years. The longer the term, the larger the monthly discount. For 1G internet (including Wi-Fi) on a 5-year contract, customers receive an additional monthly discount of 2,200 won compared with a 3-year contract, allowing total savings of 132,000 won over 5 years.

Kim Young-geol (김영걸), head of KT's Customer Business Division and an executive director, said, "We simplified the discount structure so customers can more easily feel the benefits," adding, "We will continue to expand online-only products that enhance customer convenience and practical benefits."
