Shinhan Bank said on Thursday it will run an event titled “Become the owner of a 1-ounce silver coin” through June 12 for customers who use Shinhan SOL Bank.

Any customer aged 19 or older can participate. Those who view the “Precious Metals Investment Story” content on the event page in the Shinhan SOL Bank app will all receive 100 My Shinhan Points. The bank will also draw participants to give a 1-ounce silver coin to a total of 20 people.

The “Precious Metals Investment Story” is content designed to help customers understand investments in precious metals such as gold and silver. It focuses on delivering investment information in an easy way, reflecting the recent rise in interest in alternative asset investments.

Shinhan Bank sells the “Shinhan Silver Rich Silver Tech” product, which it said is the only product in the banking sector that allows investment in physical silver. It also plans to resume silver bar sales in May.
