Reports say Cisco is considering acquiring cyber security asset management startup Axonius.

SiliconAngle reported on Jan. 4 that Israeli outlet Calcalist said Cisco is pushing ahead with an acquisition of Axonius valued at $2 billion.

Axonius denied this, saying it has not held acquisition discussions with Cisco.

Founded in 2017, Axonius provides a platform to manage and secure connected devices within enterprises. It supports unified asset management for IT and security teams and is designed to manage attack surfaces by linking with existing security tools. It can operate without installing an agent and can detect unidentified assets that are not captured by existing security systems.
