[DigitalToday reporter Jinju Hong (홍진주)] Chinese smart device maker Honor has expanded overseas sales of its wireless mouse, the Honor Choice MouseBuds Pro, which stores wireless earbuds inside the main body, after launching it in China.
Tech outlet TechRadar reported on April 9 local time that the product looks like a regular wireless mouse, but opening the top reveals two earbuds stored inside.
The product was first released in China in late 2025 and is now sold in some overseas markets including Britain. It is priced at 79.99 pounds in Britain. Honor products are not currently sold in the United States, and the product is not listed on an Australian website.
The MouseBuds Pro looks relatively ordinary, closer to a standard wireless mouse. It highlights specifications such as a skin-like coating and low-noise buttons.
The key difference, however, lies in the built-in earbuds rather than mouse performance. The earbuds have an open-fit design and do not include detachable tips to secure them in the ear. The product page does not disclose detailed specifications such as driver size, frequency response and impedance. It only says the earbuds support active noise cancellation and a dynamic driver.
The intended user base is relatively clear. Honor Choice MouseBuds Pro was introduced as a product aimed at users who need to take calls or listen to voice messages in places such as offices or cafes. Because the earbuds are stored inside the mouse, users do not need to look for a separate case and can take them out and use them immediately while already connected.
It is still difficult to confirm the competitiveness of the earbuds themselves. The product was introduced as having a total usage period of 30 days, but it is not clear how much actual listening time that figure reflects. TechRadar said the product is not a charging case for top-end earbuds and noted, "The mouse is the core and the earbuds are closer to an add-on."
The market has also assessed that such combination devices are not entirely new. The outlet mentioned that there have already been cases such as Nokia's feature phone, the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio, which included pre-connected earbuds inside the device. It added that this product applies the same idea not to a smartphone or feature phone but to a PC peripheral mouse, making the usage context different.
