[Digital Today reporter Ji-young Lee (이지영)] K Bank said on Thursday it will temporarily suspend services for about 10 hours from 12 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, for a system update.

During the period, all financial transactions via its app and website will be suspended. Limits will apply to deposits and savings and loan inquiries and new transactions, check card payments and cancellations, deposits and withdrawals through cash dispensers (CD) and ATMs, deposits and withdrawals with crypto asset exchanges, and customer service processing. Account transactions and inquiries through other financial institutions, as well as deposit and withdrawal and card payment notification services, will also be suspended.

However, transportation card functions, check card loss reports and voice phishing 피해 reports can be used as normal through its customer service center.

K Bank explained the system update is aimed at strengthening service stability as customers increase. The work will be carried out late at night over the weekend to reduce inconvenience, and the suspension period may change slightly depending on the progress of the work.

A K Bank official said, "We are carrying out a system update to improve service quality," and added, "Please handle major financial transactions such as loan repayments, real estate transaction payments and crypto asset trading in advance before the suspension period."
