KB Asset Management said on April 9 it has obtained ISO 45001 certification, an international standard for occupational health and safety management systems, from global certification body LRQA.

ISO 45001 is an international standard for occupational health and safety management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization. It is awarded to organizations that have management systems to proactively manage harmful and hazardous factors that may occur at workplaces and prevent industrial accidents.

KB Asset Management established safety and health management policies and goals and refined related manuals and procedures to obtain ISO 45001 certification.

It also steadily expanded activities related to safety and health management, including identifying and improving risk factors and establishing an emergency response system.

It also strengthened prevention-focused management activities, including safety and health education for employees, emergency response drills and inspections of the office environment.

Kim Young-sung (김영성), CEO of KB Asset Management, said, "Obtaining this ISO 45001 certification is the result of making safety and health a core value of corporate management." He said, "We will continue to strengthen the foundation for systematic management to provide investors and customers with more stable and reliable asset management services."
