Application security company Sparrow said on Wednesday it has been selected as a supplier for the 2026 SME cloud service distribution and expansion program.
Through the program, Sparrow will provide its SaaS application security vulnerability analysis solution, Sparrow Cloud. Small and medium-sized companies selected as demand firms can receive support covering 80 percent of usage fees.
The SME cloud service distribution and expansion program, supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, provides cloud consulting and service usage fees to promote cloud-based digital transformation and strengthen domestic industrial competitiveness.
Sparrow Cloud is a cloud service that provides source code analysis (SAST), open-source analysis (SCA) and web vulnerability analysis (DAST) on a single platform. Based on key regulations, including the Software Security Weakness Diagnostic Guide and the Detailed Guide to Vulnerability Analysis and Assessment Methods for Major Information and Communications Infrastructure, it analyzes security vulnerabilities that may occur across the entire software development process and presents solutions.
Sparrow CEO Il-soo Jang (장일수) said embedding security from the design stage and generating and managing an SBOM have become essential conditions for business growth in a rapidly changing environment. He said the company would actively support small and medium-sized firms that lack specialised personnel and budgets so they can use the AI guide provided by Sparrow Cloud to improve understanding of vulnerability analysis results and prevent security threats in advance.
