Intel has appointed Santosh Viswanathan (산토쉬 비스와나탄), head of India, to lead the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. His remit expands from India to the entire APJ region. Under an integrated leadership structure, he will oversee overall business, brand and customer management in the region.
The company said Viswanathan will drive business growth in APJ, deepen cooperation with customers and partners, and strengthen Intel's strategic priorities.
Viswanathan most recently served as Intel's head of India. Before that, he was responsible for business operations in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and held various leadership roles across the APJ region. Early in his tenure at Intel, he served as a global operations director at its U.S. headquarters, leading operations strategy and planning for the global sales organisation.
"The Asia-Pacific region is one of the most diverse and fastest-growing regions in the world, and its strengths lie in its people, partners and technology ecosystem," Viswanathan said. "I am pleased to take on a role with expanded responsibilities, and I will work closely with our teams and customers to identify new opportunities, lead growth and create sustained impact across the region," he said.
