[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] SK Shieldus said on April 7 that its physical security brand ADT Caps will run the “Today’s Safe Dispatch” campaign to strengthen safety management for on-site staff.
Through the campaign, ADT Caps will carry out a range of safety management activities, including expanded distribution of personal protective equipment, production and distribution of on-site safety guides, branch-level safety training, reinforcement of safety and health organisations, and a companywide diagnosis of safety awareness and collection of field opinions.
As part of the campaign, it provided more than 100 airbag vests to dispatch staff at branches nationwide. The airbag vests are protective gear that immediately inflate an airbag when they detect an impact in an accident. They are effective in protecting key parts of the body in unexpected situations such as falls or collisions while moving.
ADT Caps plans to continuously advance its safety management system with the goal of establishing a sustainable safety culture. It also plans to introduce safety training using virtual reality based on stereoscopic video (S3D), which can be joined by many people at the same time and used even at sites with limited internet access, to improve the effectiveness of on-site safety management. Centering on the chief safety and health officer (CSPO), it plans to re-establish the companywide safety and health organisation and systems, further solidify an on-site-focused safety management system and manage the safety of staff in a structured way.
Woo-cheol Shin (신우철), chief safety and health officer (CSPO) at SK Shieldus, said, “Employee safety is the most fundamental value a company must protect.” He added, “Through this campaign, we will structurally inspect risk factors at dispatch sites and establish across the organisation a safety culture that puts employee safety first.”
